Super Bowl Party Pick 'Em
Many people spice up their Super Bowl parties with a pool based on scoring - which can be fun, even for non-football fans. But I was sent an even more interesting game, certain to involve and entertain everyone at your Super Bowl shindig. Check out the following scoring system that includes guesses for all aspects of the TV event. Let me know in the comments if you try this yourself, and what your final score ends up being!

This is a fantastic idea. I am looking forward to watching the Super Bowl even though my team didn't make it. I printed out the game sheet and am hoping it will interest my girls (ages 5 and 7) to watch the game with me. Thanks Jeff for sharing such a creative game.

Quick question: what do the + & - numbers after the Pitt and GB mean?

Joe...I believe the + or - is the point spread although usually they are the same number. So after the first quarter the question is Pitt (+ 5) or GB (- 4). If you take Pitt you are saying they will be ahead when you count their actual points plus 5 or if you take Green Bay you take their actual points but have to subtract 4.
You should post your answers pregame.

I didn't create this list, so I think I am going to ignore the spread for the ends of quarters and just pick straight up. Feel free to play as you like.
Yeah explaining point spread to non-football people does not sound fun (especially 5-7 year olds) I am going to the "straight up" idea, but adding a "Tied" option
Kate (my 7 year old) asked what Pizza commercial would be? Snack or other? We decided to tweak our score card to swap out snack with food (includes chips, pizza, kfc, etc.).
This is cool.
You should have added some half time questions.

Great game, Jeff. Thanks! I got 42 (the answer to life, the universe and everything). But my wife got an impressive 68 points.
I did this with my family and had a great itme doing it. I came in last with 24pts, then my brother with 39pts, my dad with 42pts, and then my mom in first with 44pts. Great game!
Great game kept us entertained!! I ended up with 33 points my roommate beat me with a 34! Will definitely play again next year!!
This made the game fun for all of us. There was a clear winner. My sons best friend got a total of 70 points. I came in last. If you only scored the times and commercials my son was the clear winner. This was a great idea, we loved it.

for our group, it seemed that the Packers fans did very well. even though it was a close game, if you picked packers every time, you'd score high.
